adopt Flying Spagetti Monsterism as the official state religion
currently lots of people are trying to get Intelligent Design equal classroom time with the new-fangled theory of Darwinian Evolution. This is particularly prevalent in the United States, and now moves are afoot to launch such a campaign here in the UK (see the report about the visit of the ammusingly named Ken Ham). To this end, I believe that it is important that citizens are taught about the true god, the Flying Spagetti Monster.
In his divine wisdom the FSM created the whole universe, sprinkling it with meaningless clues.
The reasons for converting to Flying Spagetti Monsterism are thus:
- Flimsy moral standards.
- Every friday is a relgious holiday. If your work/school objects to that, demand your religious beliefs are respected and threaten to call the ACLU.
- Our heaven is WAY better. We've got a Stripper Factory AND a Beer Volcano.

I am astounded that an ordained minister should be promulgating such doctrines. But Indeed find it refreshing. It is clear that some of the Kansas School Board have very open minds. So open in fact, that their brains have fallen out.
It's interesting that what Kansas State Board of Education is actually trying to do is make science something it is not, by definition. (science involves trying to explain things using the laws of nature, not possible supernatural explanations, doesn't it???) So as far as I can see, the Kansas State Board of Education is actually attempting to re-define science. No mean feat really!
And they're right of course: all possible explanations, however improbable should indeed be taken into account, which is why they are shooting themselves in the foot by not considering teaching about the obviously superior Flying Spagetti Monster. (I mean, come on, which kind of heaven do they think most kids would prefer?!!)

What about generating support for the green fluffy rabbits? as an intelligent species we must help them; unfortunately we can’t see them because they have cloaking technology; elephants keep standing on them because they can’t see them either
They are an endangered species and we must help!!
