Although its as exciting as watching paint dry (ooh I've just taken a sip of Pimms and have just missed 5 wickets and an incredible catch - now for another 8 hours of no-balls and 4s) it is at least supposedly one of our national sports. So while cricket is enjoying an upsurge in people playing it - even if its the computer game variety - watching it - and generally being interested, all thanks to England's being unusually good at it, the ECB have decided to make it only available on SKY.
What a fantastic idea - move your sport onto an Satelite channel only available to a minority of the population, just as it starts to get popular.
