here we go again, with this year's latest Britains' Favourite thing - really the painting on the left should be called "The-Favourite-Picture-in-the-National-Gallery- among-pedantic-Radio-4-listeners-who-like-the-today-programme" as its not really representative of anyone else in Britain, and inpolitely ignores the fact that the most popular art gallery in Britain has quite a lot of more modern work - although much of it the likes of Humphies et all would describe it as "piss" or something similar. It would have been nice to see something that hasn't been on a biscuit tin be on the shortlist.
